Furniture Fair in the US

From 16-21 October Innovation USA presented the new American Home collection at the High Point Fair. The new designs and not at least fabrics were very well received and will soon be out in the shops. Several new dealers have joined the new Innovation family, so we are looking forward to even more American homes furnished with Danish design.

Guangzhou Fair

Innovation China showed a preview of the new Bohemian collection at the Guangzhou fair this September. As the design department has recruited several new product and shop designers a broader assortment of new products were presented. Sofa beds still remain Innovation's core business, but the Asian and Australian markets now in addition get a range of designs in other categories to choose from.
Istyle colletion update

Our new Istyle catalogue is out and the new products will soon be hitting the stores around Europe.
This means you can now get the popular Splitback sofa bed in a fashionable purple Favour textile, while Wing and Wing Chair are launched in a beautiful, light turquoise in the same soft, woven fabric.
The small sofa bed Ghia shown above is available in third colour option in a new velour leather textile called Faunal and Supreme Deluxe in a grey Rugged with a nice structure and different shades of grey in the fabric.
If you are also a fan of the Underbar design you will be happy to hear that the matching chair is now part of the collection, just like we expanded the range of table tops for WT Konos and Graphic Circular with black and red colour options. See all the news in the Istyle section.

Divanomania design party in Moscow

The future architect Alina Tupitsyna from Ekaterinburg created the winning design in the WWF category, a cover called 'Nordic Tiger'. Read more at 4living.ru.
Despite the heatwave it was an ultra cool party, when the winners of the Russian Divanomania design contest were celebrated. More than 300 creative cover design proposals were submitted, among these a range of designs with reference to the threatened Siberian tiger, thanks to a cooperation with the WWF.
Innovation's director of sales, Birgit Rojh, was invited to represent Innovation. She thanked the organiser and cooperation partner Collection Ltd. and congratulated the winner Vladimir on his achievement. Click to see more pictures and read the laudatory speach.
Divanomania Design It Yourself contest

This is the winner of a design competition organised by Collection LTD in Russia. More than 300 contributions from 30 cities were handed in, showing great talent and creativity among the Russian youth. Innovation's chief designer Per Weiss selected the special cover above designed by Vladimir Vinogradov as the winner that will be part of the next One Room Living collection. The cover captures the spirit of the collection with a graphic, stylish design that at the same time carries references to a musical equalizer.

Mr. Sofa bed himself, Flemming Højfeldt, celebrated his 60th Birthday this month. Flemming founded Innovation back in 1971 and is still active in the company as the technical director working with product development and not least optimisation of the production facilities. Even though marketing and sales is increasingly important, Innovation has always been a company with strong skills within design and production. This gives us the ability to experiment and innovate and allows us to guarantee the right standard of working conditions and product quality, which can otherwise be difficult to overview in the global market place.

ICFF fair in NYC

Also this year Innovation was part of the ICFF fair in New York. From the 15-18 May this 'global showcase for what's best and what's next in design. North America's singular showcase for contemporary design,...' attracted 590 exhibitors and around 24.000 visitors. The atmosphere was more positive than last year and thanks to new contacts, Innovation's design will soon be available in more shops in NYC. Interior design and architects liked the light, Nordic look of the Innovation booth just like the new colour options got a positive feedback. In front you see the 'social sofa bed' Underbar.

Successful spring fair in the US

The spring fair in High Point was a great success for our sister company in the US. This means that more stores will soon be selling Innovation design in the states, and the range of products will be extended in many of the existing shops. Both new and old customers liked the news that will be part of the next Home collection. Cassius Deluxe in a Excess Lounger version shown above, Cubed in chair size and Club Pipe Chair were some of the new products presented. Click to see more pictures from the High Point showroom.
